DiSenDa: Disease Surveillance with Multi-Modal Sensor Network and Data Analytics
We propose a low-cost multi-modal wireless sensor network enabled by real-time data analytics for tracking disease transmissions and outbreaks in human populations and environments. This early warning disease surveillance system will be piloted for COVID-19 surveillance in four low-income communities via continuous monitoring of wastewater and air environments.
We are equipped with innovative sensor technologies and data analytics approaches to address the tremendous challenges of public health threats. We strive to provide the public health professionals, community leaders, government officials the early warnings of disease spread and advices on mitigation strategies, based on data, science and collaboration.
